Self-Packing Cheese

In Panama, over 380 tons of plastic are wasted every year —50,000 of them from the cheese industry alone. In response to this growing problem, we created Self-Packing Cheese: an innovation that transforms whey, a byproduct of cheese-making, into its own sustainable, edible packaging.

This breakthrough doesn’t just reduce plastic waste —it reimagines what packaging can be. Flexible, moldable, and food-safe, it’s a solution with potential far beyond cheese, ready to be adapted for products like ham, fruit, milk, coffee, and more.

A simple idea that could help change the future of packaging forever.
